You've done the work to understand yourself

But your nervous system may still be responding to experiences from the past

Healing isn't just about understanding what happened—it's about your nervous system experiencing something different

With the right support, things can begin to shift

Therapy that works with your body, not around it

As a somatic therapist, I recognize trauma isn't just a thought pattern, it's a physical experience stored in your nervous system

Each service is designed to meet you where you are:

I’m Sarah Shelton, a Somatic Therapist in Houston, Texas

I support adults in moving beyond insight into embodied healing using Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Brainspotting, and Parts Work.

Like many of my clients, I’ve known what it’s like to feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, overwhelm, or burnout—even after years of therapy and understanding myself well.

Somatic therapy helped me reconnect with my nervous system and shift what insight alone couldn’t change. Life now feels more grounded, connected, and easeful.

If you’re here, you may be ready for a different kind of healing, too. I’d love to support you.

You don't have to keep living in survival mode

If you're looking for a somatic therapist in Houston or virtual therapy across Texas, I'd love to walk alongside you
